  Overall this was a rather disappointing experience. Scheduling: My referring physician said this office would call me for an appointment time. I received only an email with my appointment time. No phone call. Thankfully, this didn’t automatically go to my junk folder (although, in the future I will ensure any emails from this office are flagged as junk). This particular imagining required fasting for a minimum of 8 hours, and I was scheduled for mid morning. Had the office called to work with me/my schedule upfront I would have been more understanding of a midmorning appointment time requiring fasting, especially if I had know upfront I'd have to potentially wait a long time in the waiting room. Arrival/Check-In: I arrived when I was supposed to. Right away I’m handed many forms to fill out, including forms which requested information they already have on file (phone number, email, address, social, etc.). I was not offered a pen to fill these forms out - we’re off to a great start in terms of first impressions. Why do we have to fill out information they already have? And while you are filling out all of the same information they already have on file, they are comparing your ID to the information they have ensuring it’s all correct. Another form asks why you are there - which is also on file as they have the req from the referring physician office. I understand they want to confirm this information with you, but perhaps they can verbally ask? You are also required to fill out a form stating you understand how HIPAA works (See further down under 'my turn' for why this makes zero sense). Please note, that while filling out all of these forms the receptionist, and what I assume to be an office manager are gossiping about a female employee and how she’s “not really a morning person”. I view this as highly unethical, an embarrassing representation of the medical profession, and down right rude. Waiting: After filling out/signing multiple forms the waiting begins. After 27min I asked how much longer I would be expected to wait, to which the receptionist generically replied "someone will be out in just a few minutes to get you". Just a few minutes is apparently defined as 11. Clearly I underestimated the 38min wait time I would encounter. Keep in mind I haven't eaten or drank anything for over 10hrs now. My Turn (finally): The imaging tech calls my FULL NAME (first and last) in the lobby, please tell me again why I had to sign and acknowledge I understand HIPAA? Everyone prior to me was called by only their title (Mr., Ms., etc.) and last name. The tech then proceeds to ask me how I'm doing today... Cranky - you're shocked right?! I've waited for almost 40min past the time I was scheduled for, I'm hungry, and now I feel like my privacy has been disregarded. The imaging tech then asks me why I’m there. Again, my referring physician has sent in a req., AND I've had to fill out a form with this information. Do they not read it? Waste of time. Procedure: Total time for the procedure was 10min 50 seconds. Now I'm really questioning the reason for the 37min wait time? Oh, and you think they could offer you a bottle of water on your way out the door? I'm sure you can guess the answer to this question. I’ll give you a hint, it’s a 2 letter word beginning with 'N'. This was the first, and will be the last time I utilize Doctors Imaging to waste my valuable time and hard earned dollars. This office proudly displays a banner on the front desk in support of our Military Service Members and Veterans thanking them for our freedom. The freedom which affords us a choice in where we elect to have our healthcare needs met. Unfortunately, a concept this office has clearly overlooked.

  Amazing service! I had to have ultrasound done with only two days notice and they did it when no other facility could fit me in! Amazing customer service and very reasonable fees!
